WorkSafe NZ moves to cloud based payroll with AMS Pulse

7 Oct, 2022

AMS is proud to welcome WorkSafe to its AMS Pulse group of clients.

WorkSafe is New Zealand’s primary workplace health and safety regulator. WorkSafe employs over 550 staff based across New Zealand.

As a group, they work to lift health and safety performance, supporting New Zealanders to return home from work healthy and safe.

WorkSafe has been a client of AMS since its inception in 2013. Over the past nine years, they have been an outsourced client and have had a strong partnership with AMS.

At the beginning of 2022, WorkSafe approached us about moving to our cloud-based programme, AMS Pulse. Like many organisations, the geographical spread of their people and the different locations and environments they work in has shaped their access requirements, which can be met through the cloud platform.

The implementation process took a total of six months to complete. This standard time frame allows us to extract and import all data from existing software into the AMS Pulse software. We also run several parallel pays so we can be confident that the move was successful, this number varies by the client, but in this case, it was four. We also run a parallel set of end of month financial reports to ensure all data is correct; this is especially critical for leave accrual.

This implementation was one of the smoothest we have had the pleasure of completing. The project hit all of the milestones on time and went live the last week of July, per the timeline. This ease of implementation was partly due to WorkSafe already being our client, but was also due in no small part to the excellent communication and openness to change we witnessed in their payroll professionals.

If you want to upgrade your payroll software, why not contact us today and join WorkSafe as another one of our happy customers?
