AMS at Digital Health Week: A Look Back

2 Dec, 2025

AMS joined sector leaders at HiNZ Digital Health Week 20255 for a week of conversations that signalled a clear shift in the direction of digital health in New Zealand. Messaging from Health NZ strongly emphasised consolidation, workforce experience, and modern digital foundations. These priorities directly shape payroll, rostering, and workforce systems.

Our session, Unlocking the Power of Unified Workforce Data, attracted strong interest and reinforced the role of workforce data as both an operational and strategic asset. As a Silver Sponsor, we saw consistent engagement throughout the week. Our Feel the Pulse activation was well received, adding a light touch while encouraging meaningful conversations.

One of the strongest signals from the week was the prioritisation of payroll and HRIS within the Health Digital Investment Plan. The release of a 10-year plan is a significant step forward and reflects work already underway with AMS and Health NZ to simplify and consolidate the national payroll domain.

The broader direction toward standardisation and alignment across government closely aligns with AMS’s approach as a local provider with deep domain expertise and purpose-built software. These priorities mirror the architecture and operating principles we bring to complex workforce environments.

This direction also reinforces the important role local vendors play in supporting system-wide consistency and reducing fragmentation. We look forward to continuing to work closely with Health NZ as this programme progresses.

Digital Health Week 2025 was a valuable opportunity to strengthen relationships and contribute to the national conversation. It reaffirmed that AMS’s focus on accuracy, complexity, and unified workforce management is strongly aligned with where Health NZ is heading.
